With 7 lovingly restored bedrooms, Ballyknocken House offers romantic and culinary weekend breaks for the lover of fine food and wine!
The house has been in Catherine’s family sine the 1940’s, and since 1968 has been open as a guesthouse. Then Catherine, and her Italian husband, Claudio, took over the guesthouse in 2001, then began a labour-of-love renovation project, which has seen the guest restored to its former glory, and the cookery school open in what used to be the milking parlour!
Set amidst the wondrous Wicklow Hills, people from all over the world come here to sample great food, take a cookery lesson, or just relax in the charming rural setting with its myriad of picturesque walking trails on the doorstep.
Catherine Fulvio is a TV Chef, food writer and cookery tutor, and is the hands-on proprietor of Ballyknocken Cookery School and Ballyknocken House. Catherine is highly acclaimed for her no- fuss style of cookery, using the freshest ingredients and is a regular on TV screens both at home and abroad.
