Balloon flights typically last for around an hour, but guests should allow 3 to 4 hours for the whole experience. This flight is in one of our large passenger balloons that carry around 12 people.
Irish Balloon Flights fly from six stunning locations throughout Ireland – 1. Trim Castle, Co. Meath; 2. Rathsallagh, Co. Wicklow; 3. Athlone, Co. Westmeath; 4. Belvedere House, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath; 5, Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny; 6. Adare Manor, Co. Limerick. We fly from Trim, Co. Meath most midweek evenings between April and September and we fly one weekend per month at each of our launch sites between April and September. Winter flights take place on a standby basis due to the changeable weather. Flights typically take place early morning and early evening when the wind conditions are at their calmest.
Flights are subject to favourable weather conditions. We always endeavour to fly passengers on their preferred date, but as ballooning is weather dependent, dates are subject to change, sometimes on short notice. Normal outdoor clothing is recommended – flat shoes are essential. Passengers must be at least 12 years of age. Advance booking is required.
