Take the controls of a helicopter high over the Irish countryside and enjoy the ultimate high flying experience! This is for the truly adventurous.
This group helicopter lesson is for 3 people in a R44 helicopter. Following ground-based instruction, you will take to the air for three 7-minute flights, twice in the observation seat in the back of the helicopter, and once up front beside the pilot. While beside the pilot, you will take the controls in the air, and test your flying skills with our hover challenge! Total flight time is approx 3 x 7 minutes, and the whole experience lasts about 1 hour. Maximum weight is 15 stone. Minimum age is 15 years. This experience is weather dependent. Spectators are welcome and may take photographs.
Adventure001 Helicopter lessons take place once a month from May to October in Newtownards, Co Down. The next available dates are in 2020. Advance booking on AllGifts.ie is required.
The Adventure001 office is open from 09:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday. Jamie Phelan, who handles bookings for AllGifts.ie voucher holders works Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays only.
