The money raised by this gift will go into our Saving Lives fund, providing what’s needed most in emergency situations around the world, including fuel-efficient stoves.
Providing warmth and a way to cook food, a fuel-efficient eco-stove reduces the need for firewood. Along with protecting more forests, it cuts down on the time spent by women and girls gathering scarce firewood. This in turn reduces the need for
them to venture into unsafe areas where they are at risk of attack – and makes it one of the ways we help people stay safe after they’ve been forced to flee their homes in an emergency.
